Historic Stagecoach Stop Hangout in Mayer, AZ

Local color from the past and in the present walk through this 1902 doorway into Big Bug Station on Central Ave. The historic red brick building, considered part of Old Town Mayer, houses an antique shop behind which the owner Mike Connors and his wife and family reside. Also, the old Dance Hall is now an antique shop/ coffee shop hangout frequented by lovers of coffee, conversation, history, art, antiques, and of course GOLD. The building is located on Big Bug Creek which was one of the largest placer gold deposits in Arizona in its heyday. Strories of Wyatt …

Mayer, Arizona has a hospital. Mayer has many medical professionals operating in a variety of specialties. Fundamental healthcare begins with an individual or family?s access to a general physician, call it a family doctor or for children, a Pediatrician and for women a Gynecologist. Certainly, for people like me, a good therapist; better yet, a Psychiatrist! But why is it that someone in Mayer, Arizona cannot locate a physician that will take new patients?
